GET STARTED WITH AGE-APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES

April is Financial Literacy Month and we are pretty excited around here. We believe that parents are ideal teachers of money, but often we just don't know where to start.

Here's a a few age-appropriate activities that can help you begin today:

EXPLORE (PRESCHOOL - K)

Play creative games with money and shopping. Let them set up a pretend store for you to shop in and pay for items.

EMERGENT (K - EARLY ELEMENTARY)

Use printables to learn coin names and values. Make a matching game using the coin and the value.

EARLY (EARLY ELEMENTARY - MID ELEMENTARY)

Make a list of ways to earn money inside and outside the home. Things like - raking leaves, washing cars, dog- or house-sitting, to more entrepreneurial activities like starting an online business or blog.

INDEPENDENT (MID ELEMENTARY - LATE ELEMENTARY)

Include them in charitable opportunities and planning. Let them find creative ways they can contribute towards a cause.

HOW WILL YOUR CHILD PRACTICE MAKING FINANCIAL DECISIONS?
